Fire Rated Metal Access Panel with Picture Frame
Designed primarily for uses in dry lined ceiling or wall structures which serve fire protection or separation purposes. The picture frame is ideal for fitting into existing walls or ceilings.
Our metal access panels provide fire-resistant, lockable access to:
- Building services
- Concealed Flues, Ducts & Chimney Systems
- Walls
- Ceilings
Suitable for Part J Building Regs, which specifies the provision of access hatches to allow visual inspection of concealed flue & chimney systems.
Part J Building Regulations state that access should be at least 300 x 300mm and should not adversely affect existing fire, thermal and acoustic provisions. (See the attached PDF by NHBC above or visit the link below direct to the 2010 Part J Regs document.)
If you are unsure of the best panel for your specific job, we advise you contact your Local Planning Authority or Gas Safe. We also supply Plastic Access Panels if you do not need fire rating.
