Plastic inspection hatches provide the perfect solution for repairing damage to walls and ceilings or for creating access to:
- Concealed Flues, Ducts & Chimney Systems
- Plumbing & Central Heating Manifolds
- Valves, Soil, Waste & Sanitary fittings
- Security devices, hidden services & wiring
- Electrical & telecommunication controls
Suitable for Part J Building Regs, which specifies the provision of access hatches to allow visual inspection of concealed flue & chimney systems.
Part J Building Regulations state that access should be at least 300 x 300mm and should not adversely affect existing fire, thermal and acoustic provisions. (See the attached PDF by NHBC above or visit the link below direct to the 2010 Part J Regs document.)
If you are unsure of the best panel for your specific job, we advise you contact your Local Planning Authority or Gas Safe. We also supply Fire Rated Access Panels.
If working to Part J Regs also check out our range of audible Carbon Monoxide detectors for dwellings with fixed combustion appliances.
