Suitable for Part J Building Regs, which specifies the provision of access hatches to allow visual inspection of concealed flue & chimney systems.
Part J Building Regulations state that access should be at least 300 x 300mm and should not adversely affect existing fire, thermal and acoustic provisions. (See the attached PDF by NHBC above or visit the link below direct to the 2010 Part J Regs document.)
If you are unsure of the best panel for your specific job, we advise you contact your Local Planning Authority or Gas Safe. We also supply Plastic Access Panels if you do not need fire rating.

Fire Rated Metal Access Panel with Beaded Frame
Designed primarily for uses in dry lined ceiling or wall structures which serve fire protection or separation purposes. The beaded frame are generally fitted at first fix prior to plaster boarding and decoration to create a clean finish and unobtrusive finish.

Sizes are of door opening - please add 15mm to above sizes for Structural Opening.
