Access Panel - Part J Reg 464 x 464mm Plastic Hinged
Plastic Hinged Access Panel with door panel which is both hinged and removable for unobstructed access.
Suitable for Part J Building Regs, which specifies the provision of access hatches to allow visual inspection of concealed flue & chimney systems.
Part J Building Regulations state that access should be at least 300 x 300mm and should not adversely affect existing fire, thermal and acoustic provisions. (See the attached PDF by NHBC above or visit the link below direct to the 2010 Part J Regs document.)

Fitting a plastic inspection hatch: Simply cut the appropriate size hole with a jab saw, apply a caulking adhesive to the back of the frame and press it into place.

PLEASE NOTE:We recommend that this size panel not be used in the ceiling. We are looking into this and hope to resolve this issue in the near future. This does not apply to any other sizes, which are all suitable for ceiling and wall installation.
