At Trade Counter Direct Ltd (TCD), part of The Select Group of Companies Ltd., we respect the need to protect your privacy. Whilst we need to collect a certain amount of personal data about you in order to process your orders, for internal record keeping and for marketing purposes, we will never rent, sell or in anyway disclose your personal details to a third party.
We have various security procedures in place to make the internet and our website as secure as possible. All of the forms which gather or display personal information on our site are protected by a mechanism called SSL. When you create an online order, request or feedback that is then passed on to the relevant destination using the same level of encryption, this includes credit card verification. Firewalls are used to block unauthorised access to our servers which are themselves located in a secure location.
Your credit card information is sent in an encrypted form directly to our payment providers: Barclays or PayPal, where they are stored in the utmost security on their secure server as would be expected of such highly reputable banking firms. No where on our website are your credit card details held in clear text.
TCD does collect non-personal information on our website such as what products you are browsing and how you are using the website with the intention of helping us develop and improve of our business.
Stringent internal procedures ensure that any personal information kept within Trade Counter Direct Ltd premises is strictly confidential.

Our website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Mailing Lists
When you register you have the opportunity to join our mailing list to keep up to date of our special offers and new products by email and post. We will never to share our mailing list with any third party.
To stop receiving information from us, simply click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ option on our newsletter or email us “UNSUBSCRIBE” to info@tradecounterdirect.com and your name will be removed from our list. Whilst we always honour requests to stop customers from receiving unwanted information, we ask that you allow us 14 working days to update our database.
Cookies
Cookies are used on the TCD shopping site. A cookie contains identifying information used to make the link between you and the information you have provided to the website. They keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, they allow your shopping basket to be kept separate from other users and it enables us to automatically complete some of the forms when you subsequently use them. The creation of a cookie on your computer does not give us access to your computer or any other information about you (i.e. your e-mail address).
Children
TCD does not intend to collect personal information from children. If you are 16 years old or younger, you should not provide information on this Web site and should ask a parent to do so for you.
Updating Your Details

If we change our Privacy Policy we will post the changes on this page providing you the opportunity to contact us to remove yourself from our database if you do not agree with the changes.
