Second generation of the award winning Defender Uplight, Uplight V2 has been designed to meet demand for a multi-task, low energy, high output work light for the professional tradesman.
Uplight V2 is a versatile light for just about any task you can think of thanks to integral hooks, straps and fixing points. Made using extremely strong plastics it's tough enough to handle the demands of site.
The Defender Fluorescent Light is the first lighting product of its kind. Proclaimed the fluorescent light of the future, it's lighting the way as the new industry standard.
Like toys of the 70s, the lamp’s unique design helps it to remain upright in the physical environment of commercial sites. The Uplight is designed to overcome the shortcomings of traditional tripod-based industrial lamps, which are prone to breakage and easily knocked over.
Marketing manager, Chris Mellor-Dolman said: “You can hit one of these lights with a hammer and it won't break.”
It beat off competition from the likes of JCB and power tool manufacturer Hilti to win the Best Product 2002 category of the Hire Association Europe’s Hire Awards of Excellence 2002.
