Trade Counter Direct was built on a strong foundation in plumbing and trade supply, evolving from early wholesale and online sales into a dedicated eCommerce platform.

In 2022, the business combined with sister company SPI to form Select Trade Brands, strengthening our product range and expertise across plumbing tools and trade equipment.

Over 35 years ago, Alan Archer laid our foundation as a small plumbing wholesale outfit called Select International. Fast forward to about 15 years ago, and his son, Reid, joined forces, sparking the creation of Trade Counter Direct. What began as a modest eBay venture has evolved into one of today’s leading online tool stores, boasting over 15,000 products.
