How do I install a Plasterboard Access Panel?
These panels are designed for a "wet trade" installation. You screw the frame into your structural opening, and then apply plaster (skim) over the beaded flange of the frame. Once dried and painted, the frame disappears, leaving only the door visible.
What is the difference between this and a Picture Frame panel?
A Picture Frame panel sits on top of the wall surface and requires no plastering—it is easier to retrofit. A Plasterboard (Beaded) panel is built into the wall and plastered over for a flush, hidden look.
