This Energizer 8W LED R63 Reflector ES/E27 Warm White Bulb with an E27 fitting recently upgraded from a 10w is a perfect replacement for your old 60W reflectors however please note that on the box it does incorrectly state this is a 50W equivalent. Not only do you save just over 85% off the energy used by the old 60Ws, you also get a brighter, crisper light. Outputting over a massive 600 lumens, this is quite a bit more than the original 60W R63 incandescent lamps which is why we don €™t call it a 50W (50W was never a wattage in old incandescent lamps). There is no downside to these LEDs, they aren't as hot as the old R63w, they are brighter than the old R63s and they save you money in the long run. What is more, because they are LED, they don't attract the insects to them like you might have found the old versions do, this is because LEDs don't emit the UV light that the bugs like, whereas the old incandescents versions do.

Please note that the manufacturer claims on the box that this is a 50W equivalent, according to the EU (and our own testing) they are actually an equivalent to greater than 60W, but don't just take our word for it, try them yourself and let us know.
