Reciprocating saws (also know as Sabre Saws) operate on a similar principle to jigsaws but with the blade protruding from the front of the machine. They are intended for freehand use and a range of blades are available to suit different materials and cutting applications. Most saws have moveable front shoes which help to prolong the life of the blade by evening the wear when cutting thin material. With the correct blade theres virtually no building material it cant cut. it is an ideal tool to have for construction , workshop or for jobs around the home and garden.
